Eric Rabkin is an international lawyer specialized in advancing and defending international investment arbitration claims. For example, claims on behalf of foreign investors, or in defence of sovereign entities, involving compensation for wrongful expropriation, breaches of international standards of fair and equitable treatment, discrimination and failures to provide national and/or most favoured nation (MFN) treatment, full protection & security.

Eric utilizes various political advocacy measures on behalf of clients that extend beyond the hearing room, such measures can include lobbying governments, regional and international organizations, non-govermental organizations and other bodies on behalf of clients. Eric also uses public relations techniques and mass communication technologies on behalf of clients. 

Prior to founding ICSID Lawyers, Eric practiced at a litigation boutique law firm, an international investment arbitration boutique law firm, and as counsel for the Federal Government of Canada.

Eric founded ICSID Lawyers to facilitate foreign investor access to the complex international investment arbitration system. ICSID Lawyers' purpose is to empower foreign investors with the rule of law against states that disregard the international legal obligations they owe to foreign investors.

  • Master of Laws in International Dispute Settlements (MIDS), a joint program of the Graduate Institute & the University of Geneva (Switzerland)
  • Completed "ICSID 101" training at ICSID (World Bank, Washington D.C., U.S.A.)
  • Master of Laws in International Commercial Arbitration Law, Stockholm University (Sweden)
  • United Nations International Law Certificate, United Nations Office at Geneva (Switzerland)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Bond Professional Legal Training Institute (Australia)
