Slovenia is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention:

  • Signature: 7 March 1994
  • Deposit of Ratification: 7 March 1994
  • Entry into Force: 6 April 1994
  • Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the ICSID Convention Slovenia has made the following panel designations effective until 5 June 2009:

Slovenia is a Contracting State to the New York Convention:

  • Date of Succession: 6 July 1992
  • Entry into Force: 25 June 1991
  • Slovenia will apply the Convention only to those arbitral awards which were adopted after the entry into effect of the Convention

In 2008, Slovenia enacted legislation based on the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration as amended in 2006 and is therefore popularly considered to be an UNCITRAL Model Law State

Slovenia is a Contracting State to both the 1899 & 1907 Convention for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes:

  • 1899 Entry into Force: 1 October 1996
  • 1907 Entry into Force: 29 March 2004
