Bermuda is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention (via the United Kingdom):

  • Signature: 26 May 1965
  • Deposit of Ratification: 19 December 1966
  • Entry into Force: 18 Janaury 1967
  • Pursuant to Article 54(2) of the ICSID Convention, the  United Kingdom has designated for Bermuda, the "Supreme Court of Bermuda” as competent for the recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) has enacted legislation based on the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration as adopted in 1985 that applies within the jurisdiction of Bermuda as a UK Overseas Territory
