Israel is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention:

• Signature: 16 June 1980
• Deposit of Ratification: 22 June 1983
• Entry into Force: 22 July 1983
• On 22 June 1983, Israel notified ICSID that "Israel shall consider submitting to [ICSID] only disputes related to an approved investment under one of the Israeli Laws for the Encouragement of Capital Investments" and, with reference to Article 26 of the ICSID Convention, that "Israel requires the exhaustion of local administrative or judicial remedies as a condition under [the ICSID] Convnetion." On 21 March 1991, Israel withdrew those notifications.
• Pursuant to Article 54(2) of the ICSID Convention, Israel has designated “Appropriate District Court” as competent for the recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards.
• Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the ICSID Convention Israel has made the following panel designations effective until 12 November 2014:
  - Mr. Yoel BARIS: Deputy Legal Advisor, Ministry of Finance
  - Prof. Moshe HIRSCH: Director, Forum of International Law, Hebrew University of Jerusalem
