Romania Arbitration 
Romania is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention:
- Signature: 6 September 1974
- Deposit of Ratification: 12 September 1975
- Entry into Force: 12 October 1975
- Pursuant to Article 54(2) of the ICSID Convention, Romania has designated “Bucharest Court and the District Courts by circumstance” as competent for the recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards.
- Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the ICSID Convention Romania has made the following panel designations effective until 31 October 2014:

Romania is a Contracting State to the New York Convention:
- Date of Accession: 13 September 1961
- Entry into Force: 12 December 1961
- Romania will only apply the New York Convention to the recognition and enforcement of awards made in the territory of another contracting state & only to differences arising out of legal relationships, whether contractual or not, that are considered commercial under their national law
- With regard to awards made in the territory of non-contracting States, Romania will apply the Convention only to the extent to which those States grant reciprocal treatment
