Iceland is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention:

- Pursuant to Article 54(2) of the ICSID Convention, Iceland has designated “Bailiff (fogeti) of the District concerned” as competent for the recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards.
- Pursuant to Article 69 of the ICSID Convention, Iceland enacted Law authorizing the Government to become a party to an International Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes Between States and Nationals of Other States (Off. Gaz. A, 74, 1966) to make the Convention effective in their jurisdiction.
- Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the ICSID Convention Iceland has made the following panel designations effective until 4 April 2010:
